What do I get from being a Contributor?

As a Contributor, you unlock full member benefits plus access to a private workspace where you can draft, edit and submit article content (up to 300 words, one content submission per calendar month). You are also able to customise your very own author page on Homestead Horizon for all to see.

When can I start creating content?

You can log in and begin drafting in your private workspace as soon as you receive your login link. Contributor submissions open after you receive our first Contributor newsletter, which details the next stage of contributions for content.

How do I access my Contributor workspace?

Click the login link in your welcome email from our Ghost portal (our editorial system), which arrives within 24 hours of your subscription activation. If you have any trouble, contact us at homesteadhcommunity@gmail.com.

What kind of content can I submit?

We welcome how-to guides, personal homesteading stories, ecological insights and practical tips that fit our mission. All submissions must comply with our Content Guidelines (see Terms of Use, Section 12).

How will my submission be used?

Your approved content may appear on our website/in newsletters/across our social channels. We’ll always credit you as author and link back to your profile.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, Homestead Horizon directs 10% of membership revenues to relevant initiatives on a periodic basis:

1% of each monthly subscription payment is contributed automatically to Stripe's CO₂ emissions reduction projects, supporting cutting-edge efforts to combat climate change.
